If the Sage Business Intelligence Centre (BIC) report is not working in Excel, it may be due to the BIC add-ins that are not configured correctly in Excel. Read the full article to find out more on how to troubleshoot this problem.

Try the following steps:

  • If the above does not fix the problem, ensure that the following Add-ins are active in Excel:


  • Download and install Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office system (version 3.0 Runtime) using the link below

  • On the Excel report, set the current period and year in which you running the report for - it is advisable to run each year separately. 


  • Open BITools  using the menu option  >> Quick Edit and select the sheet you working with >> Select the Company Name >> Fiscal year

    Save the layout and generate

  •  The above process will have to be repeated for every worksheet.

  • Save and link the template in your report manager. To do this, ensure that the report is open, right click and select option to save excel template.


Note that this process need to be done on the server should all computers require access to the same report
